Summer is almost over but there’s still a lot to do! Take advantage of the final warm Michigan days in the Lansing area with these free, family-fun events.

August 4-5 | Lansing JazzFest (Sponsored by MSUFCU)
Celebrate art and creativity throughout Lansing’s Old Town at the 23rd annual Lansing JazzFest. You won’t want to miss the artistic talent of local and national performers that more than 7,000 people from all over Michigan come to see. There will be delicious food, drinks, children’s activities, River Boat rides, and much more!

August 10 | Moonlight Film Festival: Lion (Sponsored by MSUFCU)
Bring lawn chairs and blankets with friends and family to watch Lion, the final movie of this outdoor film series. The showing will be at Valley Court Park and there will be a concessions stand onsite.

August 12 | MSUFCU Kids’ Day
“Give a Hoot about Savings” at the annual Kids’ Day celebration at MSUFCU Headquarters. MSUFCU will be celebrating all of our youth and community members with a owl-themed party! Children and their families will enjoy giant inflatables, glitter tattoos, prizes, crafts such as creating your own owl mask, free lunch, and much more. There will be so much fun, you won't want to miss it!

August 11-13 | Great Lakes Folk Festival (Sponsored by MSUFCU)
Come to Downtown East Lansing to enjoy music, dancing, food, and more at this three-day festival presented by the MSU Museum. There will be traditional art demonstrations, storytelling, an arts marketplace, and many special activities for kids.

August 27 | Yoga at the MSU Broad Art Museum
Enjoy a relaxing evening of yoga in the sculpture garden at the MSU Broad Art Museum. The museum offers free yoga sessions every fourth Sunday of the month – you just need to register ahead and bring your own mat!
