Board Member Elections
The following members have been nominated by the MSUFCU Board of Directors to fill open positions on the Board. Anyone wishing to be placed on the list of candidates for election to the Board of Directors may do so by petition.

Request an official petition by contacting MSUFCU's President's Office at 517-333-2424. The bylaws require signatures of 500 MSUFCU members be obtained. The filing deadline for the petition is Monday, November 9, 2020.
Ernest S. Betts Ph.D.
currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Multicultural Business Programs at Michigan State University (MSU). Dr. Betts teaches one of the only classes on campus that focuses on contemporary issues revolving around human resources; including demographics, gender, sexual harassment, global competitiveness, and the physically challenged. A member for over 40 years, Dr. Betts has served on the MSUFCU Board of Directors since 2008, and previously served on the Supervisory Committee. He has also consulted for a number of private and public organizations, including companies such as Nestle USA, General Electric, Eli Lilly, Ford Motor.
John R. Brick Ph.D., CFA
has served on the MSUFCU Board of Directors since 1979, and is currently co-chair of the Credit Union's Asset- Liability Management Committee (ALCO). Dr. Brick is president of Brick & Associates, Inc., a nationally known consulting firm focusing on risk management that works with over 500 credit unions. He was also a professor of finance at MSU and has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles about asset-liability management, interest rates, investments, and the management of financial institutions. Additionally, Dr. Brick has authored and edited three textbooks about financial markets and institutions.
Janet Lillie
has served on the MSUFCU Board of Directors since 2014, and on the Supervisory Committee from 2013 to 2014. Dr. Lillie has been a faculty member at MSU for over 18 years, and has also served as the Coordinator of Freshman Year Programming. Dr. Lillie is currently the Assistant Vice President for Community Relations at MSU where she connects MSU, community leaders, and the Greater Lansing Region on initiatives that advance mutual interests. Prior to joining the Office of Government Relations in 2014, Lillie was the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education for MSU's College of Communication Arts and Sciences.
