MSU Neighborhood Programming: Financial 4.0
MSU Federal Credit Union’s Financial 4.0 personal finance education sessions will be back in the MSU Neighborhoods over spring semester, starting on Monday, January 22.
The sessions, covering the topics of budgeting, credit, and identity theft, are part of a program that pairs with the Credit Union’s free financial education app, Financial 4.0. The app provides financial literacy content created by student-interns and experts from the Financial Education department. You can download the app through the Apple Store or Google Play, or you can view the website version here, https://www.msufcu.org/fin40/home/.
“We saw major growth in terms of attendance at the Financial 4.0 sessions during the fall 2017 semester, and that gives us great optimism heading into the spring semester,” said Paul, a Senior Financial Educator. “I think it shows that students are interested in the content and understand its importance to them now and in the future. With that, they see the sessions as an hour well spent with the Credit Union and they’re passing the word along to their friends.”
Each of the five MSU Neighborhoods will have at least three sessions available to sign up for throughout the semester, though the North and East Neighborhoods are each getting an additional credit session as part of Money Smart week, which occurs every year in the late April. Here is the Financial 4.0 spring semester schedule (all sessions run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.):
