First-Time Home Buying Questions Answered at MSUFCU Mixer
Buying your first home is quite a feat. Homeowners can likely recall the intense conversations leading up to their first home purchases. In an effort to alleviate the stress of first time home buying, the Credit Union held the MSUFCU First-Time Home Buying Mixer on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at our headquarters building. More than 40 community members attended the event to learn important home buying skills from start to finish.
According to the National Association of REALTORS®, the largest share of homebuyers is made up of Millennials, ages 36 and younger. The First-Time Home Buying Mixer was designed to help connect this generation of homebuyers with industry experts. Throughout the evening, community members enjoyed appetizers and beverages while mingling with specialists of the the home buying industry. Later, a panel of nine experts gathered to answer questions about the role of appraisers, title companies, mortgage officers, home inspectors and homeowners insurance.
Abbie, a Credit Union employee, commented, “The mixer was a fun event for first time homebuyers! The laid-back environment made it easy for members to ask experts of their choice questions related to their personal home buying process.”
