The Credit Union is proud to present, in collaboration with the MSU College of Music, the return of Blue Mondays. Blue Mondays is a jazz concert series made possible by the MSU Federal Credit Union Jazz Artist in Residence Endowment. The series brings world renowned jazz musicians to the MSUFCU Headquarters, where performances take place throughout the year.

Blue Mondays kicks off on Monday, October 10, 2016, with a performance by jazz guitarist, Russell Malone. Malone began his career working with icons such as Jimmy Smith, Harry Connick, Jr., and Diana Krall. Since 1992, he has released 13 solo albums and has performed as a featured artist on eight albums. Malone is known for his versatility, often mixing elements of gospel and blues. He will also perform at MSU Auditorium’s Fairchild Theater on Friday, October 14, 2016.

The series will feature the following artists:

  • Monday, October 10, 2016: Russell Malone, jazz guitar
  • Monday, December 5, 2016: Rufus Reid, jazz bass
  • Monday, March 20, 2017: Conrad Herwig, jazz trombone
