“There was an awesome feeling of community since everyone there donated their time for a great causeâ”making sure every family in Ortonville would have food for Thanksgiving. During my regular working hours in the Ortonville office, I have processed deposits for individuals who organize the OCEF food drive program. They told me they were able to help about 140 families from that event. We look forward to doing it again next year!”— Kelly, Credit Union employee

Join Us for Nuestros Cuentos, Student Art Exhibit

Tweet Button

We are proud to partner with Mt. Hope Elementary School, Pattengill Academy, MSU’s College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), and MSU’s Residence College in Arts and Humanities (RCAH), to host the Nuestros Cuentos Student Art Exhibit at our MSUFCU Headquarter’s building. Nuestros Cuentos (“Our Stories”) is an art exhibit that documents the stories of Latino public school children using RCAH and CAMP student assisted autobiographies and prints. This artistic collaboration of youth, former migrant workers, and RCAH students will focus on Lansing and Michigan Latino history and the power of stories about these communities and individuals.

Join us to celebrate and view these collaborative works of art, hear from speakers, and enjoy refreshments at the Nuestros Cuentos reception on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Members and the community are also welcome to visit and view the artwork in the lobby during our normal business hours. The exhibit will remain up through the end of May.

MSU Federal Credit Union is excited to host this celebration to support students of local area Lansing schools, their families, and the students of MSU’s CAMP. We are proud to support the arts, cultural education, and to have the privilege of sharing this experience with members and our local community.
