“It's wonderful to partner with the Michigan Arbor Day Alliance for our annual tree planting event where we help our community and the environment. This year, we also worked with the City of East Lansing to plant trees at the Aquatic Center. Staff at the Aquatic Center said the trees planted around the pool area will help to cool the pavement on hot days, making it a more enjoyable experience for those visiting. It's nice knowing a few hours of work on our end will make a difference for so many for years to come.”— Becky, Credit Union volunteer

MSU Federal Credit Union is proud to host the 13th Annual High School Student Art Exhibit. This event allows local high school students the opportunity to showcase their artwork in a pop-up art gallery and win awards from a juried panel, public voting, and social media. The gallery will be viewable by any interested community members at the Credit Union’s Headquarters located at 3777 West Road in East Lansing.

This year, art will be showcased from January 30 through February 26 during our regular branch hours. While visiting, students, friends, families, and community members can view the artwork and vote for their favorite piece as part of the people’s choice awards. Additional awards include: juried awards, determined by a panel of judges; social media award, provided to the student who posts his or her art on MSUFCU’s Art Exhibit Facebook page and garners the most likes; and school spirit award, given to the school that receives the highest total votes from both the website and in person.

The art exhibit will include paintings, sketches, photography, and other forms of artistic creations. Featured artists represent various local high school students from 9th through 12th grade. Each of the participating schools have selected their most promising and creative students to highlight the talent within the school’s art program.

The Credit Union is proud to help foster art, education, and appreciation in the community through our involvement with the High School Student Art Exhibit.
