Junior Achievement Offers Online Resources for at Home Enrichment
MSU Federal Credit Union is committed to giving back to the community in unique and innovative ways. Amid the coronavirus outbreak, many of our partnering organizations are still doing their part by adjusting programming to fit the current needs of the community.
Among these non-profits includes Junior Achievement, a non-profit whose purpose is to inspire and prepare students to succeed in a global economy. With schools closing, Junior Achievement is providing free online resources to teachers and parents. Online resources cover topics including financial literacy, career readiness, and more for elementary through high school students. Junior Achievement has also created their Tomorrow’s Champions virtual speaker series to teach students the many career choices available to them.
Through MSUFCU’s partnership with Junior Achievement, the Credit Union has encouraged employees to submit videos and assist with the initiative. With volunteering and community giving being an integral part of our core values, many Credit Union employees were excited for the opportunity to become a virtual volunteer.
“I wanted to volunteer in particular because with this pandemic going on, I’ve been looking for any ways, in addition to physical distancing, to help. I know teachers are under massive pressure to produce learning content, and kids still want to learn too. This felt like a quick, easy way for me to help with those challenges. And I always love talking about what I do, so it was a win-win.” said Marc, an MSUFCU employee who volunteered to submit a video for the initiative.
