“Helping members and employees achieve their goals and dreams is a key part of our mission. Because of this, we work to create a culture that allows employees to grow, develop, and achieve these goals and dreams in and out of work. It gives us great pleasure to be recognized for fostering this type of positive work environment.”— Patrick McPharlin, Former MSUFCU President and CEO

MSUFCU and our Downtown Lansing Branch were happy to participate in the 4th Annual Lansing In the Pink Week.

Organized by Downtown Lansing Inc., the event kicks off the Susan G. Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure®, which attracts over 6,000 participants to downtown Lansing each year to raise funds toward research, outreach, and advocacy efforts in the fight against breast cancer. The 11th Annual Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure took place on April 28, 2013.

The goals of the annual Lansing In the Pink Week are to raise funds for a great cause, invigorate downtown Lansing, and strengthen our sense of community. The week’s events include special offers and discounts at downtown Lansing businesses, pink ribbon-themed decorations, and a storefront decorating contest with downtown businesses competing to see who can be the most pink.

We were thrilled to have our Downtown Lansing Branch be named the winner of the 2013 storefront decorating contest, receiving 38% of the 1,525 submitted votes.
