MSU Federal Credit Union is excited to announce $245,014.29 was donated to local charities by employees in 2019! This is equivalent to $266 per employee. Funds were raised through the Credit Union’s CU Involved Campaign, an ongoing initiative that encourages employees to give back to the local community, either monetarily and through volunteerism. CU Involved is employee led and developed to make the act of giving back accessible for every employee. The Credit Union upholds the core value of giving back to the community through initiatives such as CU Involved.

Capital Area United Way, Be NICE, Hope Against Trafficking, and Child and Family Charities benefited from employee efforts after being selected as MSUFCU’s 2019 charity partners. However, employee commitment did not end there. Throughout the year, employees also logged over 1,803 internal volunteer hours and over 1,797 personal volunteer hours, for a total of more than 3,599!

“To me it is quite simple. There are people in our community that do not have the means for some of the basic needs we take for granted. When I am able to give my time and efforts to those who are in need it makes for a better community. There are too many ways to hurt our community and not helping when I can is the same as letting it get worse.” said Claud, an active MSUFCU volunteer and employee.

MSUFCU and its employees proud to support our local community! Stay tuned for the list of our employee voted 2020 charity partners.
