Each season, the Credit Union sponsors several races that help give back to our local communities. Along with sponsorships from the Credit Union, several employees also join in the races as walkers and runners. As part of The Credit Union’s CU Healthy program, employees enjoy getting together with coworkers, friends, and family to give back to the community while getting healthy.

During the third and fourth quarters of 2017, employees partook in the Autumn Classic, Capital City River Run, Ele’s Race, JDRF One Walk, Many Hands’ Weekend Survivial Kit Race Series, Race to Freedom, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, MSU Museum’s Dinosaur Dash, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Lansing Turkey Trot, and the Detroit Turkey Trot. Over these six months, 173 employees participated in these races.

“Participating in the quarterly races are a fun and unique way to help support charitable organizations. By doing something you love—even as simple as running—you are helping raise awareness and money for all sorts of causes,” said Meagan, an avid runner and Credit Union employee.

The Credit Union is proud to support local organizations in a multitude of ways from donations and volunteering to participating in local races.
