“It's wonderful to partner with the Michigan Arbor Day Alliance for our annual tree planting event where we help our community and the environment. This year, we also worked with the City of East Lansing to plant trees at the Aquatic Center. Staff at the Aquatic Center said the trees planted around the pool area will help to cool the pavement on hot days, making it a more enjoyable experience for those visiting. It's nice knowing a few hours of work on our end will make a difference for so many for years to come.”— Becky, Credit Union volunteer

Partnering with Michigan Arbor Day Alliance, MSU Federal Credit Union was happy to participate in this year’s tree planting event by planting ten trees at the East Lansing Family Aquatic Center and Softball Complex on May 24, 2017.

Eight Credit Union employees worked together to plant trees and bring a little more green to East Lansing.

“It’s wonderful to partner with the Michigan Arbor Day Alliance for our annual tree planting event where we help our community and the environment,” said Becky, a Credit Union volunteer. “This year, we also worked with the City of East Lansing to plant trees at the Aquatic Center. Staff at the Aquatic Center said the trees planted around the pool area will help to cool the pavement on hot days, making it a more enjoyable experience for those visiting. It’s nice knowing a few hours of work on our end will make a difference for so many for years to come.”

The Credit Union has participated in this event since 2011 and looks forward to helping make the community more green in the coming years.
