Employees Contribute to 2013 United Way Campaign Success

Each year, employees focus their fundraising efforts on the Capital Area United Way. Working toward a common goal brings employees together and helps to foster a greater sense of community in the workplace. In 2013, employees set out to exceed the previous amount raised in support of the United Way in 2012 of $55,000.

During the past year our employees donated countless hours through various volunteer activities including the Days of Caring supply drive, the Lansing Roots project, the Adult handicap Bingo night, blanket drive for Caring for Kids, and the Homeless Veteran’s Dinner. Employees also donated an outstanding amount of money by organizing fundraising initiatives including raffles, cookie sales, supply drives, and payroll deductions. This year, we were very successful and exceeded our goal in supporting the United Way by donating an outstanding $64,869 for the 2013 year.

We are proud to be one of the top organizations to support the United Way in the Capital area. We hope our continued focus on raising money for United Way will help to make the Greater Lansing community a place where people want to live and work.

United Way is an organization whose goal is to unite people and resources to solve defined problems and improve the quality of life by helping individuals and families in the community to achieve education, income stability, and healthy lives.
