Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) Sponsors the Annual Race for the Place 5K
MSUFCU is pleased to sponsor the annual Race for the Place 5K benefiting MSU Safe Place.
EAST LANSING, MI—MSU Federal Credit Union encourages members of the East Lansing community to participate in the annual Race for the Place 5K on Sunday, April 10, 2011 beginning at 1:00 p.m. The race benefits MSU Safe Place, Michigan State University’s on-campus domestic violence shelter and advocacy services provider. MSUFCU has been a sponsor of Race for the Place for more than 10 years.
MSUFCU’s Race for the Place 5K is the kickoff race for the Playmakers Greater Lansing 2011 Race Series. Participants can enjoy a 5K run, walk, or wheel. The event also includes a 1-mile fun run and a 100-yard dash for children. Last year, the race had more than five hundred athletes and one hundred and fifty children involved in the cause, raising more than $10,000.
All participants will receive a T-shirt and refreshments after the event. Top male and female finishers will be awarded medals. The race begins and ends at Jenison Field House, located on MSU’s campus. MSUFCU is a proud supporter of MSU Safe Place.
