EAST LANSING, MI — On October 4, 2015, MSU Federal Credit Union partnered with the MSU Museum in sponsoring the 30th annual Dinosaur Dash 5K run and walk. The event brought in more than 1,300 participants across its divisions, which included a kids’ mile and a “diaper dash” for young children.

In addition to the sponsorship, MSUFCU employees volunteered to help facilitate the event and participate in the race itself. The Dinosaur Dash supports the Credit Union’s wellness efforts in helping employees achieve and maintain good physical and mental health.

“We look forward to the Dinosaur Dash each year because it allows us to spend time on MSU’s campus and build relationships with our members who live both within and outside of the Greater Lansing area,” said April Clobes, MSUFCU’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “This was our 28th year as a sponsor, and it’s always wonderful to see so many people join us in support of the MSU Museum and its many educational programs.”

MSU Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest university-based credit union, offers a full range of personal — and business-related — financial services to Michigan State University and Oakland University faculty, staff, students, alumni association members, and their families worldwide in addition to a variety of select employee groups. Founded in 1937 by a few MSU professors and employees, MSUFCU has 15 branches, over 205,000 members, more than $2.9 billion in assets, and over 640 employees. MSUFCU was named 2014 Credit Union of the Year by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) and the #1 employer in the large-employer category in the 2014 Top Workplaces list by the Detroit Free Press.
