EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) has partnered with the Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) to offer the Get a Home, Give a Home promotion where individuals who apply and are approved for a new mortgage with the Credit Union between July 1 and August 31 receive a voucher for one free animal adoption through CAHS, paid for by MSUFCU.

MSUFCU is excited to offer this special promotion to those embarking on a new and exciting life stage, while also supporting the local community. Members have until October 31 to redeem the vouchers and will need to meet all CAHS adoption regulations. MSUFCU will make a donation equal to the adoption fee in the members’ names if they prefer not to adopt a new furry family member

“Capital Area Humane Society is one of our 2017 charity partners, and this promotion offers a new and unique way to fulfill our core value of giving back to the community,” said Deidre Davis, MSUFCU’s Chief Marketing Officer. “While supporting the Humane Society and their impactful contributions to humans and animals alike, our Get a Home, Give a Home promotion also fulfills our mission of helping members achieve their dreams — be they financially-related or providing a forever home to a shelter animal.”

MSU Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest university-based credit union, offers a full range of personal — and business-related — financial services to Michigan State University and Oakland University faculty, staff, students, alumni, and their families worldwide, in addition to a variety of select employee groups. Also in 2016, MSUFCU was selected as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, receiving the Michigan Business Professional Association’s top honor of Elite Overall – Best of the Best award. MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence, and was recognized in 2016 as fifth in the nation for its financial education program by the National Youth Involvement Board. In 2017, the Credit Union was named as Outstanding Credit Union of the Year by the Michigan Credit Union League.
