EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) is proud to announce that it has been named as a Top Workplace by the Detroit Free Press for the sixth consecutive year.

To be considered for a Top Workplace recognition, MSUFCU employees participated in an anonymous survey administered by the Detroit Free Press, measuring employees’ experiences and feelings about the organization. Supplementing survey responses, the Credit Union also submitted a comprehensive report detailing employee demographics, culture, and programs.

“Fulfilling our mission and core values to serve members and build stronger communities begins with our employees,” said April Clobes, MSUFCU’s President/CEO. “We provide an engaging work environment, a culture through which they can connect with one another, and internal resources with which they can learn and grow, helping to empower employees to make the best decisions possible to serve our members.

Internal engagement programs include an organization-wide wellness incentive program, a skills development course offered to all employee levels, frequent town hall meetings with executives, an internal social media platform to connect amidst expansive geographical growth, and more.

MSUFCU has been honored as a Top Workplace since 2012, and has placed in the top five workplaces for the large workplace category every year since 2014.

MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence and has received several top industry and workplace awards. MSUFCU also was named one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest companies to Work For, receiving the Michigan Business Professional Association’s top Elite Overall – Best of the Best award. This year, MSUFCU was named Outstanding Credit Union of the Year by the Michigan Credit Union League.
