For MSUFCU, Providing a Healthy Workplace is a Priority
EAST LANSING, Mich. — "Our employees’ wellbeing is a top priority for MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU)," said Silvia Dimma, MSUFCU's Chief Human Resources Officer. "Empowering our employees to improve their health and overall wellbeing is a goal that the Credit Union’s CU Healthy Committee is fully committed to."
MSUFCU received the National Best and Brightest in Wellness® award which honors organizations that make their workplaces, their employees, and the community a healthier place to live and work. This innovative award recognizes and celebrates quality and excellence in health awareness by highlighting companies, schools, faith-based groups, and other organizations that promote a culture of wellness.
"Receiving national recognition for this work is a great honor," said Dimma. "As an organization, we encourage our employees to improve their health and wellbeing through a variety of activities and events. Many of the activities involve teambuilding practices which lead to a more positive work culture for our employees. As an example, employees can choose to participate in voluntary fitness challenges, financial wellness education classes, or the many 5K runs/walks the Credit Union sponsors to support local charities."
Any company, no matter the type, can earn the National Best and Brightest in Wellness award by planning, implementing, and evaluating efforts in employee wellness, which ultimately creates a more vibrant community.
MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence and has received several top industry and workplace awards. For the sixth year in a row, MSUFCU was named as a Top Workplace in the large employer category by the Detroit Free Press.
