MSUFCU Business Member, Value Engineering, Receives $25,000 Elevate Small Business Grant
EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) is pleased to announce that its business member, Value Engineering, has received a $25,000 Elevate Grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI). The Elevate Grant assists the growth and development of small businesses, their workforces, and the communities they serve.
Value Engineering will use the grant for training and hiring purposes alongside new technical design training and to purchase new technical/design software for the organization.
“As a small business making advances to enter a competitive and mature industry, this grant will help us provide training and new equipment for staff,” said Jon Kolbasa, PE, Value Engineering Founder/Service Leader. “By focusing on delivering innovative and collaborative transportation solutions and demonstrating dependability to our partners and clients, we will be able to pursue new markets and new projects.”

Value Engineering, a Lansing, Mich.‐based civil engineering firm, provides quality design and construction services to connect people and communities for both private and government contracts. Clients include the Michigan Department of Transportation, City of Lansing, City of Detroit, Ingham County, and Wayne County. Value Engineering is the winner of the 2018 COMTO DBE firm of the year award and is thankful for the continued recognition from peers, clients, and the communities it serves.
