Boating Safety Class

Presented by Sue Carter, J.D.


The Boating Safety Course is eight hours of instruction that covers topics including navigation, boating emergencies, legal requirements, and enjoying water sports. On successful completion of the course, participants receive a certificate. (Some insurance carriers offer a rate reduction based on taking the course.) The Boating Safety Course on Saturday, February 13, is open to the public, including those 16 years or older. There will be a half-hour break for lunch. NOTE: Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch, as lunch will NOT be provided. U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary boating courses provide instruction to boaters at all levels, from the fundamental to the advanced. The classes are taught by experienced and knowledgeable instructors committed to the highest standards of the U.S. Coast Guard. Registration is REQUIRED to attend.
