Some MSUFCU members may be required by the IRS to complete and submit W-8BEN or W-9 forms to the credit union in order to open and maintain their accounts and services. These forms are available below.
MSUFCU offers accounts for student and faculty organizations associated with MSU. An organization account is a great way to manage your group's finances while enjoying the benefits of MSUFCU's knowledgeable staff.
Please note: Non-profit organizations such as election campaigns and Scouting Troops must open a Business Account.
Eligibility and Requirements
Organizations must have a direct connection or affiliation with MSU.
Two signers are required for organizational accounts.
Student organization accounts must have an MSU faculty or staff advisor sign on the application.
Get a Tax ID Number
Having your organization registered under a Tax ID Number (TIN) or Employer ID Number (EIN) will allow any dividends earned to be associated with your organization as opposed to your individual taxes. Visit the IRS website to apply for an EIN.
