Art from the Heart Opening Reception Offers Peckham Artists Opportunity to Showcase Artwork
On Tuesday, April 24, 2017, members of Peckham’s Community Partnership Foundation displayed their artwork and celebrated the end of another year of the Art from the Heart program by showing off artwork to over 100 attendees consisting of friends, family, and community members at the opening reception. The Art from the Heart program provides professional, customized instruction in the visual arts to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. This year’s art exhibit includes paintings, drawings, and mixed-media artwork.
“The Peckham Art from the Heart event is one of my favorites. It warms my heart to see the overwhelming support from our community. The employees of Peckham, who create the artwork, are ecstatic to have their artwork showcased and guests are amazed by the beauty and inspiration of the art. I am thankful to be a part of such a wholesome event,” said Arianna, an employee who helped work the event.
If you missed the Art from the Heart Opening Reception, the exhibit will be available for viewing during business hours at MSUFCU Headquarters through Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Over 100 pieces are on display and some of the artwork as well as mugs, bags, and cards are available for sale.
