MSUFCU promotes strengthening reading and financial skills in youth
with Dollar Dog’s Summer Reading Club.
EAST LANSING, MI—MSU Federal Credit Union is dedicated to promoting favorable habits in youth. MSUFCU’s Dollar Dog’s Summer Reading Club focuses on literacy, as well as financial education, while offering incentives. The promotion runs from now until July 31, 2011.
Dollar Dog members can enter to win prizes based on the number of books they read. The prizes range from activity books, crayon wheels, bookmarks, and drawstring backpacks. If the child reads 10 or more books they are entered to win a grand prize of $100 to Scholar Book & Music. Members must track their books at www.msufcu.org/readingclub.
Children receive a quarter saver, savings passbook, quarterly newsletter and access to the Dollar Dog website for games and fun activities. Deposit $50 or more and receive a free piggy bank. Dollar Dog members receive one Dollar Dog coin (maximum of 10 per visit) for every $10 deposited to their accounts. The coins are used to purchase items from the Dollar Dog store at any MSUFCU branch.
