MSUFCU Supports Local Children in Sparrow Toy Drive
EAST LANSING, MI — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) was pleased to partner with Sparrow Hospital’s Children’s Center and support children in the community by taking in donations of over 280 toys through a toy drive in its Greater Lansing branches.
The items donated benefited Sparrow’s Children’s Center playroom, a place for young patients and their families to experience a home away from home while receiving care. Nurses and child life specialists use the playroom to help children recover from illness or injury through play, education, and emotional support.
“We are so pleased and grateful to MSUFCU and their members, who are helping to make this summer sunny and bright for our pediatric patients. With these gifts, MSUFCU is helping to celebrate and inspire miracles. Our relationship with MSUFCU epitomizes the community approach to caring for children,” said Kelly Hebert, Child Life Specialist with Sparrow Health System.
April Clobes, MSUFCU President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Opportunities like these allow our members and employees to show their dedication to our community, particularly the youth. I’m proud to see the support that was shown to help make a difference in the lives of many children and families.”
