EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) is pleased to announce the recent release of, Saving Draggy, a financial literacy mobile app game for children ages 5-8. By engaging in a quest to save a baby dragon, children increase their cognition and understanding of basic financial concepts.

Players earn money for their piggy bank by playing games that increase understanding of financial concepts such as saving wisely and responsibly spending money. The app was designed by students from the Games for Entertainment and Learning Lab at Michigan State University, part of the College of Communication Arts and Sciences. Saving Draggy, along with other Credit Union children’s apps, can be found on Google Play for Android devices and on the App Store for iOS devices. The app is free to play — with no in-app purchases.

“We’re excited about the release of this new app, as it shows our commitment to educating our young members in unique and innovative ways,” said Deidre Davis, MSUFCU’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “Saving Draggy, gives us an opportunity to teach our young members about financial responsibility in an engaging manner, which helps create a foundation for future habits.”
