MSUFCU Employees Donate a Record $245,000 to Charity Partners
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Employees at MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) donated a record amount of $245,014 to charity partners in 2019. Each year, Credit Union employees work together to select and support local charities throughout the various communities MSUFCU serves. The 2019 recipients were:
- Capital Area United Way: Credit Union’s ongoing charity partner which supports programs and services in Greater Lansing
- Child and Family Charities: Operates 17 programs helping 7,000 children, youth, and families each year
- Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan — Be Nice: Works to build an understanding of mental health issues through various programs
- Hope Against Trafficking: Provides safe housing and support to female abuse survivors
MSUFCU’s employee fundraising efforts included dress down days, events, raffles, and more. In addition to donating funds to local organizations, employees also volunteered their time and talent. In 2019, they volunteered nearly 3,600 hours in communities the Credit Union serves.
