Our Stance

We Cultivate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We stand with and support our black and minority employees, members and community. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. famously said, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter." We stand in solidarity against racism, violence, and injustice. And we are committed to raising our voices and being part of the solution.

Racism and mistreatment of anyone will not be tolerated at the Credit Union. While many of us can never truly understand what it is like to be treated in such a manner or what it is like to carry fear with us every day, we want to affirm we are committed to ensuring that we have a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone's voice matters and where people of all backgrounds, cultures, and viewpoints are provided a platform to thrive.

As an organization, we are committed to working to ensure that no one in our Credit Union family ever feels unsafe or that they cannot bring their true self to work. Every human being deserves to be treated equally and with respect.

We will continue to actively support our internal employee resource groups and look to them to guide us in the further education and development of our organization. The Credit Union is committed to continuing our ongoing support for community organizations and events that are facilitating critical connections and education for our communities.

We also recognize that this is much bigger than our Credit Union family, that our members, families, friends, and communities are affected. We will make positive impacts with our own words and actions by how we conduct ourselves each and every day. We work together to make everyone we interact with in our Credit Union, family, and community, feel respected, heard, and safe.

We are here to listen and provide support. We are committed to an inclusive environment at MSUFCU as demonstrated by our core value: Cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize and respect people of all backgrounds and experiences. We join together to actively support each other and work to stop racism and injustice.
