MSUFCU Announces Millionaire for a Day Winners
EAST LANSING, MI—MSUFCU recently named the two winners of its 2012 Millionaire for a Day contest: Cezanne Allen, age 12, from Haslett, MI, and Ryan Simons, age 9, from Arlington, VA. The Millionaire for a Day contest was open to MSUFCU Dollar Dog members, ages 5 to 12, who made a deposit of $10 or more between May 1, 2012 and May 30, 2012.
As Millionaire for a Day winner, Cezanne Allen received star treatment for the day. She was welcomed with a red carpet entrance at MSUFCU’s Headquarters in East Lansing, MI, and was escorted in a limousine to various stops throughout the area with her friends and family. Allen was also awarded $150. Ryan Simons received $150 deposited to his MSUFCU savings account.
MSUFCU is dedicated to promoting money management and savings habits in youth and teens. MSUFCU’s Dollar Dog accounts focus on financial education and developing positive financial history while offering incentives such as prizes, contests, and giveaways. Children receive a quarter saver, savings passbook, quarterly newsletter, and access to the Dollar Dog website for games and fun activities. Dollar Dog members receive one Dollar Dog coin (maximum of 10 per visit) for every $10 deposited to their accounts. The coins are used to purchase items from the Dollar Dog store at any MSUFCU branch.
