MSUFCU Encourages Healthy Living for Employees Credit Union Wins Best and Brightest in Wellness
EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) is proud to announce it has been recognized with a Best and Brightest in Wellness award and was celebrated at this year’s Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness event on October 20, 2017.
MSUFCU knows the value of encouraging healthy lifestyles with its more than 800 employees and implemented an internal wellness program: CU Healthy. Promoting optimal wellness creates a stronger workplace community where employees engage more deeply with one another, the organization, and nearly 250,000 members.
“Throughout the year, we actively support employees’ health and wellness through an incentive program, local 5K races, healthy competitions, and more,” said Silvia Dimma, MSUFCU’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “We encourage these wellness initiatives to help our employees achieve sound minds and bodies at work and beyond.”
Each month, CU Healthy sponsors local 5K races and offers employees complimentary registrations, hosts quarterly wellness challenges, and partners with Sparrow to offer a wellness tracking program where employees can receive cash incentives each quarter for their participation.
MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence and has received several top industry and workplace awards. For the sixth year in a row, MSUFCU was named as a Top Workplace in the large employer category by the Detroit Free Press. This year, it was also recognized as one of CU Journal’s Best Credit Unions to Work For, a Best Workplace for Women by Fortune Magazine, and Outstanding Credit Union of the Year by the Michigan Credit Union League.
