MSUFCU Encourages Employee Development Through Assistant Manager Promotions
EAST LANSING, Mich. — April Clobes, President/CEO of MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) is pleased to announce the promotions of Rico Javier to Assistant Branch Manager of the Downtown Lansing and Sparrow branches and Paul Thelen to Assistant Branch Manager of the East Lansing and Union branches.
“From the first day of employment, we hope to nurture employees’ professional growth and development,” said Ms. Clobes. “The promotions of Mr. Javier and Mr. Thelen to Assistant Manager positions are great examples of employees who began careers at the Credit Union who took advantage of our many development opportunities, leading to their current positions and numerous contributions to our organization and members.”
Mr. Javier joined MSUFCU in 2013, serving members in the eServices Department for three years and entering into the Management Development program to the gain experience and skills necessary to succeed on a management level. As an Assistant Branch Manager, he supports the teams at the Downtown Lansing and Sparrow branches as they provide superior service to members. Mr. Javier received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Kalamazoo College and has coached recreational youth basketball in East Lansing outside of the Credit Union.
Mr. Thelen has worked at MSUFCU since 2013, holding positions in the branch network and Call Center. In his current role at the East Lansing and Union branch locations, he helps branch employees reach their professional goals and continue development, increase operational efficiency at the branches, and builds and fosters relationships with members through education and superior service. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University, studying Advertising, Marketing, and Management.
