EAST LANSING, Mich. — The MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) Board of Directors and management are pleased to announce that MSUFCU will open a branch at 2313 Cedar Street in Holt, Michigan, in early 2020. This will be the Credit Union's 21st branch.

The Holt Branch will provide MSUFCU the opportunity to expand its services to nearly 74,300 members living within 10 miles of this location. Located less than three miles from the Credit Union’s South Lansing Branch at 200 East Jolly Road in Lansing, the Holt Branch will offer additional account access and convenience to members who live and work in the area.

“We are looking forward to joining the Holt community with this new branch location,” said April Clobes, MSUFCU's President/CEO. “We have a growing number of members within Holt and they have been requesting a local branch to serve them.“

As a full-service branch, MSUFCU’s Holt location will create 13 new jobs— one mortgage officer, two managers, and 10 financial services representatives.

MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence and has received several top industry and workplace awards. For the sixth year in a row, MSUFCU was named as a Top Workplace in the large employer category by the Detroit Free Press. This year, it was again recognized as one of CU Journal’s Best Credit Unions to Work For, a Michigan Best and Brightest in Wellness award winner, and is certified as a Great Place to Work®. In 2017, MSUFCU was recognized as a Best Workplace for Women by Fortune Magazine, and an Outstanding Credit Union of the Year by the Michigan Credit Union League. The credit union has also been nationally recognized for its financial education initiatives, ranking first in Michigan and second in the nation for the 2017 Alphonse Desjardins Adult Financial Education award by the Credit Union National Association. Founded in 1937, MSUFCU has 18 branches, more than 267,000 members, $4.2 billion in assets, and nearly 900 employees.
