“I've worked the MSUFCU Family Discovery Day for a few years, and it has always been a great time. Kids are excited to learn alongside their parents and fascinated by the exhibits. It's a different type of learning than seen in typical classrooms, and it works.”— Emily, Credit Union volunteer

EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) has partnered with MSU to give young Spartan fans ages 6-11 a chance to spend pregame time with players and watch MSU football, basketball, and hockey home games by entering MSUFCU youth contests. The contests include:

  • MSUFCU Kick-Off Kids: Two young Spartans are randomly selected to join the Spartans on the sidelines at each home MSU football game and pick up the kicking tee after each kickoff.
  • MSUFCU Game Ball Delivery: One young Spartan is randomly selected to deliver the game ball to Sparty on the Breslin Center court before each MSU men's and select women’s basketball home games.
  • MSUFCU Captain of the Game: One young Spartan is randomly selected to spend exclusive time on the bench before select MSU men’s hockey home games.

“By partnering with MSU athletics, MSUFCU helps make dreams come true for young Spartan fans,” said Deidre Davis, MSUFCU Chief Marketing Officer. “We support the youth of our community in many ways. MSUFCU offers youth accounts and financial education gaming apps, and provides financial education presentations in area schools. As the official credit union of MSU athletics, we are pleased to sponsor these opportunities for area youth to have special access to players and games.”
