We are pleased to share that MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) has received regulatory approval from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to acquire McHenry Savings Bank. This transaction officially took place on September 1, 2024.

We are excited to welcome you to MSUFCU. Our team will work diligently to make your transition effortless, and we look forward to providing you with superior service to help you achieve your financial goals.

To become a member of MSUFCU and gain access to MSUFCU's products and services, please complete your membership opt-in as soon as possible.

Opt-In to Become an MSUFCU Member

Account Conversion

We'll be working to ensure you have all the information needed for a smooth transition to MSUFCU.

Our plan is to transition your MSB accounts to MSUFCU's records and systems in the second quarter of 2025. In the meantime, you'll maintain access to your MSB accounts and be able to continue to conduct transactions as usual. For more information, see the "Account Conversion" section of the Acquisition Notice and FAQs.

Membership Opt-In Information

To become a member of MSUFCU and gain access to MSUFCU's products and services, please complete one of the following membership opt-in actions as soon as possible. By opting in, you also agree to MSUFCU making a $10 donation to the Desk Drawer Foundation on your behalf if necessary for you to become a member. The Desk Drawer Foundation supports the communities where MSUFCU operates.

You will not have access to the following products and services until you have opted in: opening a new account, loan, or safe deposit box; adding a joint party or new signer to an existing account; adding or removing account beneficiaries; making an advance of funds from an open line of credit; receiving a first-time debit card for an open checking account; purchasing a money order, cashier's check, or VISA gift card; receiving signature guarantee or notary public services; and redeeming a U.S. savings bond.

Complete your membership opt-in via one of the options listed below as soon as possible.

Online: Visit msufcu.org/msbmembership.

Mail: Complete the "opt-in" form (view sample) mailed to you and return it using the self-addressed stamped envelope provided.

Consumer Change in Terms for Preferred Checking Line of Credit

This mailing includes a set of Credit Union disclosures for consumer account owners with a loan or line of credit.

McHenry Feb 2025 Mailing

The postcard details the Change in Terms Notice, Conversion Guide, and Online Banking Access letters that the members will be receiving.

New Control Number Group Mailing

This mailing, sent to a limited number of McHenry customers, provides a control number and encourages the recipient to opt-in to membership.

Letter Regarding RV Loan

A letter about refinancing RV Loans was mailed to about 260 McHenry account owners on December 11.
