If your transaction was initially authorized by you with your Visa card, the payment is not considered fraudulent and is unable to be simply removed unless a dispute is processed. Before processing a dispute, we must allow the merchant 30 days to provide the product or service or 15 days to provide an agreed upon refund.

We recommend first reaching out to the merchant directly to inquire about canceling any purchases or authorizations, or to request a refund.

If the merchant is not able to help we can attempt to dispute the purchase on your behalf. If there are fraudulent purchases on your card, please contact us immediately.

You can update your PIN for a debit, ATM, or credit card in the Card Controls section of the share or loan in ComputerLine® or the MSUFCU Mobile app. Once updated, the new PIN is effective immediately.

Card Controls can be found by clicking the (+) icon next to the account your debit, credit or ATM card is associated with.

MSUFCU Mobile app
Card Controls can be found directly above the recent transaction history after selecting an account or loan. To access your Card Controls, click inside the white space next to the share associated with your debit, credit, or ATM card.

Report a lost/stolen visa to us by calling 517-333-2424 or 800-678-4968 during business hours. If you are calling outside of business hours contact us at 888-393-1172.

When you contact us please provide the following information regarding your last transaction: date, amount, and location. We also ask that you complete and return the Visa Fraud Affidavit.

Your lost/stolen card can be locked in ComputerLine® or the MSUFCU Mobile app. To lock your card in ComputerLine®, select the (+) symbol to the left of your checking or Visa section. To lock your card within the mobile app, select the share associated with the card, Visa Card Controls, and enable card lock.

By locking your card, no one will be able to make purchases - including authorized card holders. Recurring transactions using this card will not be declined.

To request a replacement card, please contact us.

Visa Fraud Alert Management is a service provided by our trusted vendor Falcon, who monitors card activity to help protect your accounts from fraud.

Here's How it Works
When unusual spending behaviors or transactions appear on your card, and our Fraud Alert Management team determines that a transaction needs additional review, you will first receive a text message asking you to confirm the transaction, asking "Yes" or "No". Fraud Alert text messages will typically come from these numbers:

• 23618

If no response is received, you will receive an automated call, typically from the following numbers:
• 866-809-2680
• 866-767-2432
• 855-887-3942
• 800-294-2147
• 844-201-8325
• 800-847-2383

Member security is a top priority at the Credit Union. If we are unable to contact you regarding the charges on your MSUFCU Visa, your card may be temporarily blocked to prevent any further unauthorized activity.

• If you doubt the legitimacy of a call, please hang up and contact us.
• You will NEVER be asked to provide your full Visa card number or PIN..
• MSUFCU will only request that you verify information that we already know.
