Pre-employment steps
We're excited to get to know you better! Our dedicated Talent Acquisition team will carefully review your application to determine your qualifications for the role. Throughout the process, our Talent Acquisition Specialists will keep you in the loop with updates. Here's a sneak peek into our interviewing process:

• Phone Interview with Talent Acquisition: Where we will ask questions about your past work experience, your interest in joining MSUFCU, share more about our culture, and answer any other questions you may have.
• Credit Check
• Virtual or In-Person Interview(s) with Talent Acquisition and the Hiring Manager: Depending on the role, we may request to meet with you more than once. Come prepared to speak about how you collaborate with your team, and how your unique experiences align to the mission and core values of MSUFCU.
• Final Employment Decision
• Pre-Employment Background Check & Drug Screen

For the short time I've been working here, I've been promoted and given the opportunity to pursue my goal of taking a leadership class and taking on more complex technical things such as upgrading our core application. How can I check on my employment application?

How can I adjust my employment application?
You can make changes to your application at any time through your candidate presence. Click 'login' on the jobs landing page to access your profile. If you don't remember your password, choose the 'Reset Password' option. You will receive an email confirmation to generate a new password.

What are your pre-employment qualifications?
Job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of our pre-employment screening process. MSUFCU conducts credit checks as part of the pre-employment process. Reviews are treated with confidentiality and care. We look at details in reports, not credit scores. More details are covered in your initial phone interview. After the point of an offer, we also conduct a background check and drug screen.

What does the background check and drug screen cover?
The background check verifies that the employment, education, and criminal history on your application is accurate and true. The drug screen is a simple process coordinated by an outside vendor and screens for any substances that are illegal in the State of Michigan.
