MSUFCU identified and removed unauthorized card skimming devices from a small number of our ATMs on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Our monitoring systems detected the devices quickly, and they were immediately removed. All impacted ATMs are operational and secured.

Skimming is a type of fraud that occurs at a card terminal with your physical card. Fraudsters will add a small, often easy to overlook, device to a card terminal at an ATM, gas pump, or other electronic device that interacts with your physical card. This device "skims" and stores your card information for fraudsters to use.

About two dozen people were impacted. These individuals have been identified and contacted. Additionally, the Credit Union is working closely with local law enforcement to identify those responsible for the skimming devices. Our members' account security is our highest priority.
